More Protection for Lemon Shark Aggregation

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in response to public comments, has increased protection for the Palm Beach County, Lemon Shark winter aggregation.

In September we asked you to join with the Bimini Shark Lab and request the  NMFS not allow commercial harvesting of Lemon Sharks during their annual aggregation that occurs every winter offshore of Jupiter in Palm Beach County.

SUCCESS! – On November 25, NMFS announced, that based on public comment, the aggregation is now off-limits!
