We have a lot to discuss:

The Broward County assault on the coastal environmental:

In our own backyard:

  • We will discuss the success dive charter boats have had patrolling PBC reefs for boats illegally anchored in coral. FDEP has taken enforcement action under the Florida Coral Reef Protection Act against dozens of violators in the last year thanks to the efforts of the local scuba diving community.  Click to watch video of dive boat on patrol for illegally anchored boats:

As always we will have Reef Rescue logo wear and a brand new 40 minute DVD – Palm Beach Coral Gardens – at our booth.  Click here to watch the Coral Gardens video trailer.

We will have a limited supply of the Lion Hunter Safety-Spear available as a thank you gift for a $25.00 donation to Reef Rescue. That is nearly $15.00 OFF the suggested retail price of $39.95. See the Lion Hunter web site to learn what divers can do to help control the Pacific Lionfish invasion in our waters.

We look forward to seeing you at the show. This is one of the few times during the year we can all get together face to face and help formulate the strategies needed to protect our endangered and dwindling south Florida coral reef resources.

NOT A SCUBA DIVER? We encourage you to visit the Dive Show anyway. These are issues that affect everyone interested in protecting our coastal environment.

WARNING to non-divers – you may leave the show as a new scuba enthusiast.
