Dredge project turns beach into lunar landscape
Army Corp of Engineers orders contractor to cleanup mess.
The recent Palm Beach Inlet dredge project that was designed to add sand to the north end beaches in the Town of Palm Beach covered the beaches with rock and coral rubble making them completely unsuitable for nesting sea turtles. Sea turtle nesting season began March 1, in Palm Beach County.
Keeping score?
This is the same contractor that smashed into the Flower Gardens Reef and has turned Delray Beach into a sea of mud from constant turbidity violations during the ongoing beach renourishment project.
