Southeast Florida’s Marine Debris Reporting and Removal Program
Palm Beach County Reef Rescue, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission are working together to establish a marine debris reporting and removal program for southeast Florida coral reefs. The program encourages local divers and dive shops to report marine debris, followed by reef cleanup events to remove the debris.
This July, four reef cleanup events are scheduled

Note: The 2012 cleanup series is a pilot year and requires limiting the number of participating dive charters. Charters interested in participating in next year’s event should contact Karen Bohnsack at (305) 795-1204 or email Karen.Bohnsack@dep.state.fl.us.
